The winners of the finals have been announced for the 2026 "Dunhuang Cup" Chinese Instrumental Performance Competition – Australia and New Zealand Regional. Held in Sydney from February 25 to 28, 2026, this event is co-hosted by the Chinese Instrument Association and Shanghai No. 1 National Instrument Factory, with the Huaxia Xuan Yin Art Communication Center and the China National Orchestra Association as organizers, alongside support various cultural and Chinese ethnic instrumental training and the China Cultural Center in Sydney.

Since its launch in November 2025, over a hundred participants have registered, including both professional and amateur performers from local schools and cultural and Chinese ethnic instrumental training institutions in Australia New Zealand, as well as professional academy students and social training institution participants from within China. This year’s competition has set a record for participation in the Australia and New Zealand region. From February 25 to 28, competitors from China and those from Sydney and other regions in Australia and New Zealand competed in-person, while participants from Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane, Auckland, London,, and Taiwan competed online. After intense and orderly competition, all competition segments have been successfully completed, thanks to the professional evaluations and meticulous calculations reviews conducted by the judging panel.​
